Rideau-Rockcliffe is more than just a place. For Chris, it’s where he has built a successful business and a family. From attending Rockcliffe Park Public School and Ashbury College, where his father taught for 40 years, his career path led him to Europe and all across Canada. However, the Manor Park boy always knew that Ottawa was his home.
As a business development manager, in the agricultural sector, Chris has extensive experience working with clients on long-term government programs, creating and operating large budgets. He has a successful track record of securing corporate sponsorships, public funding and creating lasting partnerships.
In 2014, Chris founded the Beechwood Market. Over the past 5 years, it has grown into a friendly community destination in the refurbished Parc Optimiste. Showcasing dozens of local farmers and small local businesses, the Beechwood Market illustrates the vibrancy and variety of Rideau-Rockcliffe. His support for the community extends beyond the Market to founding the area's largest annual outdoor summer festival, the Beechwood East Feast.
Father to son Devon, Chris is proud to donate his time to his son’s classroom and local Scouts Canada group.
